During drilling process, solids control & Drilling waste management are combined solutions to recover and reuse the valuable drilling fluids. Solids control forms close-loop drilling mud cleaning and separating procedures, to ensure the smooth drilling and safe drilling. The solids control recovered most of the valuable drilling fluids for reuse. However, there are still lots of valuable oil-based mud can be recovered by drilling waste management equipment and system. Compared with the additional cost on the drilling waste management equipment, the economic value of recycled OBM is still considerable. That is the reason almost each rigsite will be equipped with 1set vertical cuttings dryer and high speed ultra-fine solids removal decanter centrifuge. After treatment by Vertical cutting dryer, the fluids discharge can be introduced to high-speed centrifuge to further remove the fine solids in the drilling mud. After centrifuge separation, the clean mud can be introduced back to the solids control mud system for reuse. And this is the end point of the drilling waste management system.

Screw conveyor is the transfer equipment for the vertical cuttings dryer. Usually there are at least 3 sets screw conveyors for feeding and discharging.

a)     Primary auger usually installed beneath the solids control shakers to accept the wet drilling cuttings and transfer to one end.

b)     Secondary auger usually installed inclined, one end to receive the wet cuttings from primary auger, the other end feed to the vertical cuttings dryer. Usually, the screw conveyor will help Vertical cuttings dryer to achieve better performance.

c)      Discharge auger will be installed beneath the vertical dryer and transfer the dry cuttings to one collection bag or collection box.


As for drilling mud decanter centrifuge, we can provide high speed for ultra-fine solids removal, and middle speed for barite recovery. Different bowl speed can provide different G-Force to achieve the target material separation.
