Vertical cuttings dryer plays important role in drilling waste management. It can separate and recover the valuable drilling fluids for reuse, and separate the harmful solid rock debris- which is called drilling cuttings in oil drilling industry. After treatment by vertical cuttings dryer, the drilling cuttings can be very dry with less than 5% Oil on cuttings. The vertical cutting dryer application make it possible to reduce the volume of drilling waste, the dry drilling cuttings can be stored in woven bag without any liquid leakage.

Working principle of KESMI Vertical Cuttings Dryer:

1. The drilling cuttings slurry discharged from shaker will firstly drop down to screw conveyor, where the screw conveyor will convey the drilling cuttings slurry forward to a inclined secondary auger. The secondary auger will feed the drilling cuttings slurry to the vertical cuttings dryer.
2. The drilling cuttings slurry will drop down to the distribution disk before entering into the vertical cuttings dryer,  and then drop to the dryer evenly for a better separation performance.
3. After separation by vertical cuttings dryer, the dry solids will be drop down to the discharge auger and will be collected by woven bags and the clean liquid will be pumped to the centrifuge for further treatment.
4. After feeding to centrifuge, the fine solids and ultra fine solids will be removed for mud weight cutting. This is usually completed by high speed and big bowl centrifuges with G-force up to 1500~2000G. We have booth 14in and 18in big bowl centrifuges to achieve the tasks.
